Ken Goodey I first found out about Accurst after watching the 2012 horror film Sinister, which includes some of these tracks. Music is vitally important for some films as it can often deliver meaning and emotion that cannot always be adequately conveyed by actors or the director. Accurst makes this happen. There is a great deal of originality in this music, as well as an obvious understanding of ambient music, but also a deference to classic horror film composers such as Bernard Herrmann & John Carpenter. Favorite track: Fragment #9 (2014 remaster).

ProvokingDrama Well, obviously what brought me here was the Sinister soundtrack. But I've always liked the element of creepiness or horror in ambient music. This is something I never knew I needed, but now I know! You won't regret this, it's so darkly beautiful. Just listen to it alone in the dark. You'll see. Favorite track: Fragment #9 (2014 remaster).
